The Kathak Festival by Nritya Sadan
Nritya Sadan presents a rental-stage festival celebrating the journey of Kathak dancers. Students and amateur dancers share the stage with professional Kathak artists, and renowned community musicians bring live music to the performances. The programme centres on the dancer as Nayika — the heroine — explored through Nayikas in Taal and Nayikas in Bhaav, where rhythm, movement, emotion, and storytelling meet. The Surrey Arts Centre is at 13750 88 Avenue, Surrey. Book through purchase.surrey.ca or the box office at 604-501-5580, which also arranges accessible seating.
