About this directory

Kathak Vancouver is a small directory of Kathak artists and teachers. The community runs it. It covers the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.

The Lower Mainland is large. A teacher in Surrey can be one hour away from a student in North Vancouver. This site shows you who teaches where. You can then find a teacher near your home.

What this site lists

Each entry uses public information. The sources are the website, the school page, or the social media account of the artist. Each listing gives:

• The main neighborhood or city of the artist.
• The website and the Instagram account, when they exist.
• Whether the artist teaches now.
• A short, factual description.
• One photograph, when the artist gives us one to publish.

This site does not list home addresses or personal phone numbers. It lists only the contact channels that the artist already shares in public.

Who runs this site

Volunteers from the Kathak community run this site. A listing is free.

Anyone can add an entry. Artists, teachers, students, and parents send us listings and corrections.

Updates and corrections

If your information is wrong or missing, write to us. If you prefer no listing, write to us. We correct or remove the entry the same day. See Add yourself.
